La Marmandia

Family Vergoz, from Britain, was based in the Reunion Island in 1790. Since then, through the island, many branches have spread.
The Marmandia was founded in 1976 by my grandfather Vergoz Armand and his wife Maria Vergoz. This is my grandmother who baptized the farm by mixing his first name to her husband.
With a hard labor, Armand managed to constitute an area starting from the leaf blades to the mountaintops representing twenty hectares. While Armand managed sugarcane production as the main activity, my father Raymond Vergoz conducted various experimental productions . Thus for several years, he produced, coffee, strawberries and geranium, and now fodder.
Since 2011, I returned to work with my father on the farm. From that moment, we entered a diversified approach, focused on tourism and the development of fruits and plants of the family garden. It is in this peaceful countryside we offer you relax.
